Rawa Rasbhara

This ideal dessert, made from minimum ingredients, saves you the hassle of breaking and cracking while deep frying. Rawa Rashbara epitomizes a typical Bengali dessert- juicy, sweet & moist. The Rawa ball, dripping in thickness of sugar syrup will be a mouthful of yumminess. And trust us, with this recipe, two is not enough!

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1/2 Gajraj Royale Kesari Rawa (fine)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • (2-3 strands) Saffron
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 2 tbsp Milk powder
  • 1 tbsp maida
Method
  • In a pan add ghee and Gajraj Royale Kesari Rawa. Cook well
  • Add milk and make a dough. Let it cool
  • Make sugar syrup-1cup water, 1 cup sugar, cardamom powder, and kesar
  • In the dough add 1/4 tsp cardamom powder, 2 tbsp milk powder, 1/4 tsp baking soda, and maida. Add little milk, and knead to a very smooth dough
  • Make balls and deep fry
  • Dip them in sugar syrup
  • Garnish with silver work, almonds, and pistachio
