Lapsi Biryani

Inspite of rice being very dear to most of the Indian hearts, this is one recipe that you are very likely to enjoy! Follow the video to cook this Lapsi Dish

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Gajraj Royale Lapsi
  • 1 cup Curd
  • 1 cup Carrot
  • 1 cup Cauliflower
  • 1 cup Potato
  • 1 cup diced Capsicum
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Biryani Masala
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 cup chopped Coriander
  • 1/2 cup Onion Barista
Whole spices
  • 1 inch Cinnamon
  • 2-3 Cloves
  • 1 Black Cardamom
  • 1 Star Anise
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds

Method

  • In a bowl, marinate all the vegetables with curd
  • Add little coriander, dry spices and 1 tbsp oil
  • In a deep pot, add 1 tbsp oil and add Lapsi
  • Dry roast it for 5-7 minutes
  • Add whole spices and cook for 2-4 minutes
  • Add the marinated vegetables and cook for 5-7 minutes
  • Add little water, cover and cook for 10 minutes
  • Open and check. Then, add 1 cup of water and cover it.
  • Cook again for 15-25 minutes
  • Open and check if the water is completely soaked or not
  • Transfer it into an earthen pot and give smoke effect
  • Garnish with coriander and onion baristas
  • Serve with curd and onions
 Tips:- You can give the “dum effect” to your Biryani.
